In February our BUILT Network project in New Westminster B.C. was featured on Vancouver Chinese television and radio news stations news as well as Chinese and Korean newspapers detailing the services which we are providing for new Canadians in the community. Many persons of Asian descent are enrolling in our eight-week program and the over 90% successful employment placement and retention rates are truly incredible.

We are very familiar with many barriers which are faced by new Canadians and work very diligently to ensure access to supports and services which will assist in full inclusion. In New Westminster we have developed strong relationships with many organizations which all provide complimentary services and referrals enabling a "community supportive" approach to individual empowerment. These collaborative efforts are key components in developing community services which are effective, seamless, and flexible to suit the individuals' specific needs. An example of community support is Westca.ca which is Canada's largest Chinese website. Westca.ca has partnered with BUILT Network and is promoting our services in the community.

Funded by Human Resources and Social Development Canada; BUILT Network Customer Service Skills Development Centers are located in six cities across Canada and available online from coast to coast. The project sites are community lead centres which provide assistance and skills development to persons who have mental health issues/ disabilities and face barriers to employment.
