We in the Artists' Alliance for Mental Health are having a logo contest!

In the lead-up to AAMH participation in the upcoming Canadian national mental health conference Thriving in 2010 & Beyond (http://www.facebook.com/l/bd35bH1gaOzznZ99urT731fuwHw;www.thrivingin2010.com/), we would like to engage you as we come up with a new logo design for AAMH International, which will be used by all member groups including AAMH Canada.

The artwork on the FB page was never intended to be a permanent logo for the group. We have a large number of very talented artists, we reasoned, so why not have them come up with something that reflects the mission of AAMH - to actively work towards improving the lives of people living with mental health concerns through the transformative power of the arts!

Please submit your logo design(s), based on the colour scheme of the current placeholder graphic, that represents in your mind the mission of AAMH. The contest is open until 11:59 pm Pacific time on August 15, 2010. The winner of the contest will be announced shortly thereafter.

The winning design will become our organization's international symbol in all public communications and the winning artist will receive international exposure of their work. The artist and/or his/her business will also be recognized as a key sponsor of AAMH International in all promotional materials for the group.

If you want to be part of the creation of a new movement with your graphic as its official symbol, please send your design to aamh.canada@gmail.com by August 15, 2010.
