Toronto, August 26, 2010 – The Select Committee on Mental Health and Addictions of the Legislative Assembly of Ontario today released its final report, “Navigating the Journey to Wellness: The Comprehensive Mental Health and Addictions Action Plan for Ontarians”. This follows the release of an interim report (March 2010) that provided an overview of the hearings and activities of the Committee to that date.

The National Network for Mental Health (NNMH) will be hosting its 2009/2010 Annual General Meeting on October 5, 2010 at 12:00 noon EST at the Les Suites Hotel Ottawa, 130 Besserer Street, Ottawa.

According to our By-Laws, this year the NNMH is in need of Board of Director representation in: (2) British Columbia/Territories, (1) Ontario, and (1) Member At Large positions.

It has been nearly two months since the last Dignity for All Campaign Mobilization Update, on June 17th.  In a few short weeks, September will be here and then September 20 and the re-opening of Parliament.  This fall could be an electric time in Ottawa and in the federal context, with the possibility of an election and with a lot going on re: poverty issues.  Hope everyone is getting some much needed rest and relaxation to be ready by the fall for energetic action in support of the Dignity Campaign and other and related efforts.
