A key element of the mandate of the Mental Health Commission of Canada (MHCC) is to reduce the stigma of mental illness and combat the discrimination that people with mental illness and their families confront. The Mental Health Commission of Canada now has a website which can be found at http://www.mentalhealthcommission.ca/.

Currently the website outlines a call for application to the Board of Directors to the Commission as well as outlining current information on the formation of the Commission.

I encourage all who are interested in applying to become a Board Member to put their name forward prior to the deadline date of July 15, 2007.
